Freeport Indonesia sold 671,000 ounces of gold in the second quarter (Q2) ended June 2018, jumped 57% from 427,000 ounce sold in the same period of last year. For Jan-Jun 2018 period (H1), its gold sales doubled to 1.27 million ounces, from 604,000 ounces in H1 last year. Its average gold price increased to US$1.274 per ounce from US$1.243. Gold production also surged 112% to 740,000 ounces in Q2 and jumped 130% to 1.33 million ounce in H1.

Freeport’s copper sales jumped 70% to 635 million pounds in H1 and production surged 86% to 658 million pounds. Averaged cooper prices rose to US$3.07 per pound from US$2.64.
