Tourist arrivals in Indonesia increased by 11.04% from a year earlier to 1,300,738 persons in April of 2018. That compared to 1,171,386 persons in the same month of the prior year. Bali was the main destination (516,143 persons), followed by Jakarta (223,814 persons) and Batam (144,104 persons) Considering the first four month of the year, tourist arrivals grew 13.83% compared to the same period a year earlier to 4,965,755 persons. The government aims to attract 20 million visitors a year by 2019.
