After years of dispute over ownership of rights to use land in Kampung Bandan, North Jakarta, last week PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) (KAI) finally decided to bring the problem to court. The State-Owned Enterprise filed a civil lawsuit against PT Duta Anggada Realty Tbk (DART), a property company controlled by Angkosubroto’s family. The lawsuit itself is not the main problem here, it has been years now since we know that the utilization of the disputed land is done by cooperation with many companies, including DART. On the land owned by the KAI, including the disputed land, today stands a lot of buildings.
