On the second week of April 2018, Khresna Guntarto—a lawyer who claimed to be the representatives of several buyers of the properties built by PT Kapuk Naga Indah (KNI – a subsidiary of Agung Sedayu Group)—filed a bankruptcy lawsuit against the KNI and gave statements to several national media outlets. The lawsuit adds to the list of lawsuits the KNI must face in two different district courts. On May 2, however, Tempo and Kompas newspapers printed a page-long apology published by four individuals, two of whom were listed as the plaintiffs in the bankruptcy lawsuit. The apology statement oddly stated that Khresna had filed the lawsuit without their consent.
