The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) decided to file an appeal against the sentences given for the disgraced Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Nur Alam. The KPK is not satisfied by the Panel of Judges’ decision not to consider environmental damage. And so now both Nur Alam and the KPK have each filed for an appeal. Nur Alam, however, also filed a civil lawsuit against one Basuki Wasis, a lecturer from the Faculty of Forestry of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) who’s responsible for calculating the extent of environmental damage Nur Alam caused.To subscribe please click here
