State-owned lender Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) allocates Rp3 trillion for strengthening capital of its subsidiaries, to expand and develop information technology (IT) this year. It has injected Rp1 trillion to BNI Syariah. BNI said its subsidiaries will expand their business into digital technology inline with current trend. BNI Life wants to issue insurance products on a technology basis. So far, BNI has five subsidiaries; BNI Syariah, BNI Life, BNI Multifinance, BNI Sekuritas, and BNI Asset Management.
