Copper, gauge of the world’s manufacturing and economy, has returned to above US$7,000 per ton. On London Metal Exchange, the commodity was settled at US$7,019 per ton, the highest level since late October. Indonesia is major exporter of copper through PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, and PT Batutua Tembaga Raya. Nickel, another indicator, also returned to above US$12,000 per ton, and closed at US$12,050 per ton last Friday on LME. This is the highest level since mide November.
