Funding remains a challenge for President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s infrastructure development projects. The total amount of funds needed for the infrastructure projects reaches Rp4,796.2 trillion (2015-2019 period). The portion funded by state budget (APBN) and budget of regional governments (APBD) only amounts to Rp1,978.6 trillion. State-owned enterprises (SoEs) are to fund Rp1,066.2 trillion, or 22.2% of the total, whereas projects to be funded by the private sector amount to Rp1,751.5 trillion, or 36.5% of the total.To subscribe please click here
