Nippon Shokubai Co., Ltd. will enter into a feasibility study for building the next acrylic acid (AA) plant at PT Nippon Shokubai Indonesia, a subsidiary in the Southeast Asian country. By this expansion, Nippon Shokubai will establish a system capable of producing a total of one million tons of AA at its facilities on a global basis. Nippon Shokubai plans to make a final decision on the Indonesian plant project in 2018 and expects to commence its operation in 2021.
