Australian construction firm CIMIC Group has won a US$300 million contract with Indonesian coal miner PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), a unit of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) to extend its Kalimantan mine operations a further four years. The contract will see coal production at the Melawan pit (Sangatta coal mine) increase by 12 million tons over four years, until Dec. 2021.
