State miner Aneka Tambang (ANTM), Antam, decided to stop cooperation with PT Freeport Indonesia and PT Smelting for constructing anode slime plant and precious metal refinery, likely due to commercial issue. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) for this contract was signed in 2 Feb 2017 and will expire within one year. Meanwhile ANTM said it has shipped 1.9 million tons of low-calorie nickel ore to China per September this year. ANTM targets export of its nickel ore to reach 2.7 million tons by end this year.
