Bank Muamalat, pioneer of sharia banking in Indonesia, booked net profit of Rp34.17 billion for Jan-Sep 2017 (9-months) period, declined 10.5% from Rp37.95 billion in the corresponding period last year. The Bank’s income fell 24.4% to Rp921.4 billion from previous Rp1.22 trillion. Its assets reached Rp57.7 trillion while liability amounted Rp53.9 trillion. Bank Mualamat’s capital adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at 11.58% while non performing financing (NPF) was 3.07%. Minna Padi Investama has recently acquired 51% stake in Bank Mualamat.
