Central Bureau of Statistics recorded 220.7 million train passengers in the first seven months of 2017, an increase of 10.03% from the corresponding period last year. That means only around 1 million passengers per day, of which 80% in the greater Jakarta railway system. The greater Jakarta system reported 10.23% growth, while Java outside greater Jakarta increased only by 8.51%.
