The Government is optimistic that the loan agreement for Patimban port project in Subang, West Java will be signed with the Government of Japan this month. The said project costs Rp13.7 trillion. The construction will start next year and is expected to commence operation in 2019. The port (phase 1) will have capacity of 250,000 twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) per year and 218,000 CBU vehicles. The Government develops new port in Patimban, for replacing Cilamaya port project.
