The sale of smartphone in Indonesia totaled 7.3 million units in the first quarter (Q1) this year, grew 13% from 6.4 million units in Q1 last year, according to new data from International Data Corporation (IDC). Smartphone from China holds 31% market share, Indonesia’s brand 17%, while global brands holds 47%. But comparing to Q4 last year, domestic smartphon sale declined 15%. The popular brands of smartphone are Samsung (Korea), OPPO (China), Asus (Taiwan), Advan, Lenovo, and Motorola.
