The investment in oil and gas upstream sector only reached US$3.96 billion in the first half (H1) this year, representing 29% of this year target of US$13.8 billion. The national oil and gas inventory is on threat. The main factor is the oil price drop which makes the investment in upstream oil and gas not attractive due to poor economic benefit. But the state revenue from oil and gas upstream sector reached US$6.48 billion in H1, equivalent Rp84.24 trillion, representing 59% of target for this year (US$10.91 billion). The cost recovery reached US$4.87 billion per June, representing 46% of target for this year (US$10.49 billion).
