A total of 25 Indonesian firms have been selected to be in Nikkei’s Asia300 index. This index now contains 316 companies that are listed in one of 11 Asian nations. The companies are selected based on market capitalization. Last week, the Nikkei Asian Review released the new top 100 companies within the Asia300 index, led by Taiwan-based electronic component manufacturer Largan Precision. Within the top 100 there are nine Indonesian companies; Kalbe Farma (KLBF), Bumi Serpong Damai (BSDE), Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM), Bank Central Asia (BBCA), Semen Indonesia (SMGR), Gudang Garam (GGRM), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI), Unilever Indonesia (UNVR), and Ciputra Development (CTRA).
