The central bank (Bank Indonesia/BI) and the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia consistently strengthen cooperation to increase the security and smoothness of economic activities conducted by the public. The cooperation among others includes payment system, Rupiah management, inflation control, and cyber crime mitigation. In Rupiah management, the cooperation among others focuses on prevention and mitigation of money counterfeiting in all networks, from the upstream to the downstream. Cooperation in payment system is conducted in the mitigation and eradication of crimes in Payment by Cards, namely ATM, debit, and credit cards. In addition, the two institutions also discuss food price control. Food control cooperation has been well established between the National Police and BI, primarily through the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID).
