PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM) has asked for an increase in low-grade nickel export quota to 3.7 million tons, despite already having a massive 2.7 million tons of 1.7 percent grade nickel export quota granted in April earlier this year. The Director for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bambang Susigit, however, said that the Government will not approve of this request because ANTAM has never provided any details on the development of their smelter in Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi.To subscribe please click here
