Domestic electronics sales fell 10% to Rp10 trillion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2017, as the people purchasing power remained low and the economic growth was below the expectation. Ali Soebroto, Chairman of Electronics Business Association (Gabel) the electronics sales weakened in early this year but will increase in the fasting holy month of Ramadhan and Lebaran. Gabel has expected domestic electronics sales to reach Rp40 trillion this year.
