Securities firm Kresna Graha Investama (KREN) booked net profit of Rp69.8 billion in first quarter (Q1) of 2017, surged 180% from Rp25 billion in the corresponding period of 2016. Revenues jumped 107% to Rp110 billion. Gains on trading of marketable securities doubled to Rp85 billion. Income from brokerage activities also doubled to Rp16 billion. Investment manager income surged 60% to Rp8 billion. Meanwhile securities firm Panin Sekuritas (PANS) booked net profit of Rp88 billion in Q1 this year, grew by 14.3% from Rp77 billion in Q1 last year. Revenues rose 8% to Rp147 billion. Brokerage commissions jumped 50% to Rp18 billion while income from investment management services declined 18.6% to Rp61.6 billion.
