Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, is informed that Osaka Steel Co. Ltd will inaugurate its steel plant in Cilegon, Banten in July 20, 2017. The steel plant is a joint venture of between state steel producer Krakatau Steel (KRAS) and Japan’s Osaka Steel. Krakatau Osaka Steel targets to produce 500,000 tons per year. The said plant costs US$220 million, equivalent Rp2.8 trillion, expected to commence operation this year.
