Cigarettes maker HM Sampoerna (HMSP) booked net profit of Rp3.3 trillion in first quarter (Q1) of 2017, up 5.5% from Rp3.1 trillion in Q1 of 2016. Its sales increased 3% to Rp22.6 trillion from previous Rp21.9 trillion. HMSP allocates Rp1 trillion for capital expenditure (capex) this year. It will pay dividend of Rp12.4 trillion, or Rp107.7 per share , for 2016 fiscal year. Last year, HMSP booked net profit of Rp12.8 trillion.
