One of the questions we’ve received in connection to the development of the Jakarta gubernatorial race is whether the voting day (tomorrow April 19) will run smoothly and safely. It is understandable that people are asking such a question given the intensity of the election, as we’ve witnessed ourselves, with the barrage of black campaigns. And then there are rumors of people from outside of Jakarta coming into Jakarta to monitor voting in polling stations (TPS), in addition to rumors that chaos would befall the capital if the incumbent Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and his running mate Djarot Saiful Hidayat wins the election.To subscribe please click here
