In the past few days, several pollsters released the result of their surveys on the electability of the two gubernatorial pairs in Jakarta, i.e., incumbent Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and running mate Djarot Saiful Hidayat (Ahok–Djarot), who is up against contender Anies Baswedan and running mate Sandiaga Uno (Anies–Sandi). The pollsters pointed to Anies–Sandi leading the race. Two of them, however, noted that Anies–Sandi’s electability is in a downward trend, whereas Ahok–Djarot’s electability has been steadily rising.
