On Tuesday (Nov. 1), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo issued a strong statement about 34 stranded power plant projects worth hundreds of million of dollars. The projects were launched during the presidency of Jokowi’s predecessor Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). President Jokowi said that he’d like the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to investigate the extent to which the State has suffered financially because of the halted projects. The KPK, interestingly, responded to the President’s statement by promising to collect data and information on said projects.
