Friction blooms inside the United Development Party (PPP) as Jakarta’s gubernatorial election approaches. The PPP faction led by Romahurmuziy, the one the Government acknowledges as the official PPP (which is a part of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s ruling coalition), decided to endorse Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as their gubernatorial candidate for Jakarta’s 2017 race.
