Asian markets opened mixed on Wednesday, despite gains in the U.S. market on the back of the first presidential debate and a beat on consumer confidence, Cnbc.com reported. Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.5% to US$44.88 per barrel in Asian trading this morning. Oil trading remained volatile, with U.S. crude below $45 a barrel amid speculation producers won’t agree on an output freeze at talks in Algiers, Bloomberg reported.
