Last month, on July 18, 2016, Grace Natalie and several PSI executives visited the office of the Ministry of Law & Human Rights to register their new political party. At the time, they brought with them 43 containers of documents for verification. They’re now waiting for the result. After this, assuming they pass the verification process, PSI has to pass another verification process, this time at the General Election Commission (KPU). Only after they’ve passed the KPU’s verification, will they be allowed to participate in the 2019 elections. From then onwards, it’s up to PSI to get enough votes in the legislative election to pass the parliamentary threshold. To do all of that, the Party will need to work its machinery. Who’s going to help them finance that?
