On Wednesday (July 20) the Indorama Group signed a cooperation agreement with two Algeria-based firms, Asmidal and Manal, for investing US$4.5 billion in minerals and mining sectors in Algeria, Antara News reported. Said parties also agreed on three projects relating to phosphate processing plant located in Souk Ahras, near the frontier of Tunisia. Indorama will set up joint venture entity with Manal to develop new phosphate mine in east Tebessa province, and to build plant processing natural gas into ammonia, technic ammonia nitrate (TAN), and calcium ammonia nitrate (CAN).
