The latest banking survey revealed that respondents reported slower growth of demand for new loans in the first quarter of 2016, with growth expected to rebound thereafter in the second quarter. Slowing growth in demand for new loans are citing low demand for corporate financing at the beginning of the year coupled with selective bank policy in terms of disbursing loans in order to mitigate an increase in non performing loans (NPL) for the downshift.To subscribe please click here
