PDI-P, the largest political party in Jakarta, is still looking for someone who could match the electability of the incumbent Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama. Gerindra, the second largest political party in Jakarta, as well as other political parties are also still in search mode.
