After he was declared guilty of accepting bribes by the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta District Court in August 2015, the notorious Democratic Party politician Sutan Bathoegana decided to fight back with an appeal. But his attempt faltered at the stage of cassation. On April 13, 2016 the Supreme Court (MA) decided to decline Sutan’s petition and to accept the cassation filed by the prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).To subscribe please click here
