The gubernatorial election in the province of Banten will be held simultaneously with 100 other regional elections next year on February 15, 2017. Governor Rano Karno will likely run in the race seeking his second term. Several names have been mentioned as likely challengers. But given that none of the political parties in the Representative Council of the Banten Province (DPRD Banten) is able to endorse their own governor candidate, without establishing a coalition with another political party, we may eventually see four governor candidates at most.To subscribe please click here
