The Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) told the press on Tuesday (Jan. 19) that the Jakarta Metro Police’s fast response after the Thamrin Terror attack on Thursday (Jan. 14) had helped to create speculation surrounding the fate of Inspector General Tito Karnavian, the chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. The IPW noted that there are those who believe the Thamrin attack was fabricated in relation to Tito’s career.
