Forty-three million people are exposed to haze as the result of forest fires ravaging two million hectares of forest area in Riau, South Sumatera, Jambi, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan since July this year. Ten people have died and more than 500 thousand are suffering from acute respiratory infection. The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) estimated that the country lost in the upwards of 20 trillion Rupiah due to the haze.To subscribe please click here
