Since the implementation of the Trade Minister Regulation Number 6 Year 2015 on the Control and Supervision of the Procurement, Distribution and Sales of Alcoholic Beverages, many Indonesian supermarkets changed the layout of alcoholic beverage shelves, while mini-markets have completely removed alcoholic beverages altogether. But the Ministry of Trade has changed its stance on the matter ever since Minister Tom Lembong replaced his predecessor Rachmat Gobel. The House of Representative (DPR), however, remains hell bent on keeping the Bill on the Prohibition of Alcoholic Beverages Bill in the 2015 Legislative Priority Program.
