Supreme Court Favors Bakrie, Djan Faridz, Part I

On Tuesday (Oct. 20) afternoon the Supreme Court (MA) ruled in favor of Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie’s in the dispute for the leadership of the Golkar Party—Ical’s leadership was the faction previously affirmed by the State Administrative Court (PTUN) of Jakarta as the legitimate leadership of the Party. On the same day, the Supreme Court also ruled in favor of Djan Faridz’s leadership of the United Development Party (PPP). Ical’s Golkar and Djan’s PPP are members of the Red-and-White opposition group (KMP).To subscribe please click here
