Three big events happened yesterday. First, the inauguration of Teten Masduki, one of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s closest aides, as the new Presidential Chief of Staff. Second, the rumor that Commissioner General Budi Waseso, chief of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI), was sacked. And third, the joining of the National Mandate Party (PAN) into the ruling coalition to support Jokowi-Kalla’s administration. Some see it as a sign that Jokowi is trying to say he’s on the right track to continue his consolidation of power. To subscribe please click here
