On August 25, 2015 Vice President Jusuf Kalla led the the meeting to discuss the construction of electrical power transmissions to support the 35,000 MW power program. The construction is planned to commence in September 2015 for the 27,000-kilometer long power transmission line. This number does not include the construction of 18,000-km long transmission currently underway. The total length of power transmission lines expected to be achieved within a period of three years is 46,000 km.
