The House of Representatives (DPR) asked President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to submit the name of the nominee for the position of commander of the military (TNI). The deadline is next week. President Jokowi said that he’d announce and submit the name of his nominee in the near future. Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Minister of Defense Ryamizard Ryacudu, and Coordinating Minister for Politics Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno gave hints that the President may not follow the rotation tradition in appointing the next military commander.To subscribe please click here
