The rupiah weakened further to Rp13,237 against the US dollar on Monday (March 16). Year to date, the rupiah has fallen by more than 5.3%. In response, the Government of Indonesia launched 7 packages of policies for helping the rupiah, coming into effect next month (April 2015). The 7 policy packages are expected to strengthen the country’s economic fundamentals, which would then attract fresh dollar supply into the country. To subscribe please click here
