Maneuver to Reject Perpu 1/2014: Democratic Party’s Response

Key leaders from the Democratic Party finally responded to the move to reject the government regulation in lieu of law No. 1/2014 (otherwise known as the Direct Election Perpu). They said that the party would remain consistent in supporting said Perpu. The final decision is left in the hands of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) as chairman of the party.
