President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo seems to be taking his time to decide on who he shall name as the next Attorney General and Chief of Intelligence. It’s good that the President is careful in making decisions that would determine the performance of both crucial posts. But the President should also involve the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transactions Monitoring Agency (PPATK) in his candidate vetting process. The problem is that the President has not done so, and given recent development, it’s growing increasingly unclear whether or not the President will ever involve the KPK and PPATK this time around.To subscribe please click here
