Good morning. Today Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Jusuf Kalla will be sworn in as the Seventh President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia has, yet again, shown that it is capable of maintaining a peaceful, democratic transition. This is an achievement we should be proud of as a people. We are expecting a peaceful day, with thousands of people flooding the National Monument (Monas) Park to celebrate this joyous moment in our nation’s democracy.
