Construction of the so-called trans-Sulawesi railway connecting six provinces with investment of around US$9 billion has reportedly been kicked off Tuesday (August 12) with groundbreaking ceremony in Makassar, South Sulawesi led by coordinating minister for the economy Chairul Tanjung.¬†All governors in Sulawesi Island, home to the country’s largest nickel deposit, attended the ceremony.
