This article is the first part of a series on the Indonesian National Police. Since, The Indonesian National Police (POLRI) has undergone some reform after the fall of the Suharto regime in 1998. With that dynamics have changed internally and so have the map of influence. In this series we will try to understand the internal arrangements of POLRI to give you a good sense of Indonesia’s most (in)famous institution.
