Before Xmas, lawmakers passed the industry bill into law, replacing the obsolete 1984 law. The new Industry Law strengthens Law No 04/2009 on mandatory domestic processing of natural resources (minerals), but full implementation of the new law requires lower level government regulations, which shall be issued within two years since the law enacted on January 15, 2014.
