Vice Governor of the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta (Pemprov DKI), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) told reporters last week that his team had issued the licenses required for the Jakarta elevated toll road project to perform its environmental impact assessment. The project is spearheaded by the Ministry of Public Works. It will be interesting to see how this project will move forward given that the design of the toll roads (scheduled to be built in the middle of this year) has dedicated bus lanes in addition to the typical Jakarta three lane toll road design.
