World crude steel production for 62 countries reporting to the World Steel Association was 126 million tons last month, inched up 1.3% from October 2011. China, the world’s largest producer, shown a convincing growth of 6%, but Japan dropped 6.7%. That means for 10 months of 2012, world crude steel production only inched up 0.7%.
